Remembering you David in memories of when I stayed at your childhood home overnight on weekends with your sister, Lana. Good memories are never forgotten.

The years pass by so quickly as we become older. And though the years pass, memories do not. They stay with us throughout our lifetime. I am grateful for my memories of David when his sister Lana and I spent time together at their house on N. Main Ave. in Newton.

My father was a good man, he was kind to everyone and looked past peoples flaws, he loved his kids and his grandkids he will be missed dearly

The Setzer Family was a  part of my life during my High School years at NCHS. David's sister, Lana was one of best friends at that time and we spent many good times at her house and at mine. David was her younger brother who loved to annoy us when we were upstairs in her room on N. Main Ave in Newton. He always wanted to enter her room when we were listening to the Top 100 Billboard Hits on WNNC Radio. Now, good memories!  RIP David till we see you again.

I did not know William Setzer  very well, but I met him when he came to the emergency room at Fort Stewart where I was working as a medic. I saw the last name and Social Security number and thought we might be related but nobody back home knew a William Setzer because he went by David. My mom is Linda Setzer, Gene’s daughter. Turns out, we are related. And when we met several times in later years we always told the story. Thanks for the great memory and your service. Phillip Little

I remember being a little girl and seeing my daddy in his military uniform. He was my hero then and always will be. I’m proud of his service in the United States Army for so many many years. He was the kindest man and loved to laugh and have fun, especially singing karaoke or watching wrestling on television or cheering for his favorite teams in different sports. I’m really gonna miss him. I love him so much and even though he’s gone on; my love for him will be always in my heart along with my memories. I love you Daddy. Until we meet again in heaven……
