Bob grew up in Pennsylvania and joined the Navy at age 18. After the Navy he spent time living and going to college in Wisconsin, but most of his adult life was spent in New Jersey where he made a point to swim in the ocean every day. He eventually moved to Florida, and located in an area where he could ride his bike or walk to the beach. Most recently, Bob moved to North Carolina and fell in love with the beauty of the mountains. He loved nature and animals. Some of his favorite spots were Lake James and Wilson’s Creek, where he took his dog Bailey to hike and swim.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert. He is survived by his mother, Alice; daughters Dakota (Pat) and Melissa (Greg); grandsons Alex, Aaron, and A.J.; and his dog Bailey.
He was a true Renaissance man.
