Melvin Douglas O'Neil

Melvin was known as "Morganton's Favorite Handyman". When people needed a job done they would always call Melvin to do it. No matter how big or small the job was, he would always get the job done.

In addition to his parents, Melvin was proceeded in death by two sisters, Kathy O'Neil Lipscomb and Susan O'Neil, and a brother Calvin O'Neil.

Those left to cherish his memory include a brother William Howard O'Neil Jr.; three nieces, Deanna O'Neil, Kyesha Lipscomb and Tashalla O'Neil; and five nephews, Wayne O'Neil, William Lipscomb Jr., Charles O'Neil, Augustus O'Neil and Jordan Coffey all of Morganton. Melvin is also survived by numerous other family members and friends

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 13, 2022 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with Minister LaTtes Lyerly presiding.
