Joel Lynn McNabb

Lynn worked in the furniture industry for over 20 years. He retired early to care for his wife Leslie who was living with ALS. After Leslie passed, Lynn became a CNA and worked at Grace Ridge until a shoulder injury placed him into full retirement. He had many hobbies, farming, coaching baseball, football, and wrestling, but most importantly, helping others. Lynn served as a Deacon at Laurel Haven Baptist Church.

Lynn is preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Pruitt-McNabb; his father Kelly McNabb;' a daughter-in-law, Natasha Keller-McNabb; and several aunts and uncles.

Those left behind to cherish Lynn's memory include his mother, Laverna Jacobs; four sons, Jason L. McNabb, Jeremiah L. McNabb (Jennifer), Jacob L. McNabb (Sharon), and Joshua L. McNabb (Janice); 10 grandchildren, Jonah L. McNabb, Jeremy L. McNabb, Cade L. McNabb, Jaxson L. McNabb, Julian L. McNabb, Jasmine Simpson, Jailei Simpson, Cassidy McHone, Caleb Keller and Joslyn Goss; two great grandchildren, Keyton McNabb and Lilith Goss; and two brothers, J. Lane McNabb (Tammy) and J. Lee McNabb (Trish). Lynn is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton. A "Celebration of Lynn's Life" will follow at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Mark Thompson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the Laurel Haven Baptist Church, 4944 Tucker Rd. Morganton, NC 28655.
