Glenda Earldean Townsend

Glenda Earldean Townsend, age 79, of Morganton, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024. Glenda was born July 10, 1945 in Burke County to the late Earl Crump and the late Louise McCall Crump.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Mary Buchanan.

Glenda was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family with all of her heart. She loved to play bingo, watch Jeopardy and spending time with her family. She worked for Burke County School as a transporter for children with special needs.

Those left to cherish her memory include her partner of over 40 years, Trigger Chapman of the home, daughter, Donna Bowman and husband Richie of Morganton, grandson, Cory Bowman of Morganton, great grandson, Aiden Bowman of Morganton. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The family will receive friends for one hour on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm at Kirksey Funeral Home in Morganton. Burial will follow the receiving at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton.
