Verna was the heart and soul of her family—a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love knew no bounds. She cherished every moment with her loved ones, making the most of life’s simple joys. Whether it was a spontaneous family getaway or a leisurely afternoon, Verna embraced every adventure with a full heart. She had a special fondness for shopping, but nothing could compare to the joy she found in being surrounded by those she held dear. Her warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter lit up every room, making everyone feel loved and cherished. One of her sweetest delights was pinching the little ones' cute cheeks, always with a smile that made their hearts swell.
Those left to cherish Verna's beautiful memory is her husband of 16 years, Verney "V.J." Justilian Jr. of Bayou L'Ourse; her sons, Lawrence White Jr. and his wife, Tara, of Bayou L'Ourse, Leo White and his wife, Angela, of Morgan City, and Billy White and his wife, Melissa, of Amelia; eight grandchildren, Katlyn White-Jones and her husband, Auston, Dustin White, Sheldon Anslem, Cheyenne Quick and her husband, Johnny, Conner White, Troy White, John "Jay" Giroir, Brittny Gruden and her husband, Tyler, Constance Herrera and Alexis Chaisson; five great grandchildren, Ziggy Anslem, Vincent Anslem, Damon Anslem, Wylder Gruden and Evolette Gruden; and three siblings, Becky Dunham and her husband, Kenny, Tommy Sons and his wife, Vikki, and John Sons and his wife, Jill.
