Margaret Prejean Benoit

Margaret Prejean Benoit, age 80, of Morgan City, Louisiana passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022. Margaret was born December 17, 1941 in Thibodaux, Louisiana to the late Henry and Levie Ledet Prejean.

Margaret enjoyed dancing and partying. Her greatest joy was caring for her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Horace Pennison, Jr.; daughter, Lori Pennison and 7 brothers and sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of 26 years, Roland Benoit; 2 sons, Alvin Pennison and his wife Ellen, Jason Pennison and his companion Tenille; sister, Bernice Galiano and her husband Richard; 3 brothers, David Prejean and his wife Nettie, Glen Prejean, Keith Prejean and his wife Renee; 3 grandchildren, Wyatt, Joseph and Mercy Pennison.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at St. Andrew Catholic Church from 9am-10am. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow. Margaret will be laid to rest in St. Andrew Cemetery.
