Gerald was my classmate and dear friend, graduating from Johnston Station HS.  We then were roommates in college and set up a barber shop in our room which was successful until the professional barber in town complained to the school administrator. I have many pleasant memories of times spent with him.  My deepest sympathy to his family and his beloved sister.

Gerald was a huge inspiration for me. I attribute my success to a lot that I learned while working at Royal Golf Club. Gerald started Royal with a dream. He had a vision and created a beautiful golf course. He spent many hours and lots of sweat to develop Royal into a highly successful business. My second round of golf was at Royal in 1973 when I was 13.  It was then that I met Gerald.  He always was a very good friend to me.  Royal has brought joy to many in the Slidell Golf Community over the past 47 years.  It was Geralds' hard work and vision that brought that to life!  God Bless you my Friend!

Always enjoyed visiting and playing golf with Mr Getald.   He loved to play, compete and fraternize with all his golf buddies - playing every year in the Senior PGA Championship was always a highlight for Getald and all of us enjoying his company.   He will be missed by all, but I know he has a great group in heaven and will never miss a single putt!!!    God bless Getald, his wonderful family and all his PGA friends!

Gerald will be greatly missed. I had the pleasure of working at Royal for many years through high school, undergraduate and graduate studies. I have very fond memories of my time spent working at the club, and consider them some of the best times of my life. I will always feel indebted to Gerald. As a young man, he was the first person in my professional life to see potential in me as he provided me the opportunity and privilege to manage his business. It allowed me the opportunity to build the self-confidence and skills necessary for me to further advance in my career. Gerald did not just give me a job, he gave me the opportunity to build a life for myself. For that, I will always be grateful. I hope God has deep pockets, because Gerald was one hell of a putter! I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with Pat and their family.

Me. Gerald always took the time to inquire how I was doing in my career each time I saw him. As a young Pro that always brighted my day with his words of encouragement . He was truly a gentleman and one of the "Good Guys".
