It was an honor to know you and be part of what was a privledge, watching the impact you had on the ROTC group.  You molded them just as if they were your own.  I never worried when my kids would say we have to stay and get our routine right.  And they were perfect, an example of the love and guidance you gave them.  Thank you for everything.  May you rest in paradise, we will see you on the other side.  My condolences to your family.

You always led by example.  I carried that impression with me throughout high school. I took it with me into my career in the Navy. You created a National Champion unarmed exhibition team “Falcon Force.”  I was the first female guide on for the team (you had me perform to get that position) We held that title my entire time at Rubidoux. We also held that National Championship for four years with our all Female Honor Guard where I was a rifleman.  You instilled in us to aim high, that we could accomplish anything if we worked hard and dedicated ourselves. And YOU led us. We were just teenagers. I will forever be thankful that you were in my life and that you believed in us. Thank you. Bev, and fam, I am sorry for your loss. Chief was an amazing human.

Remembering Chief Cohen

A remarkable ROTC instructor, Chief Cohen left an indelible mark on countless lives, including mine. With compassion, encouragement, and empathy, he fostered growth, boosted self-esteem, and ignited a passion for life.

His legacy will live on through the countless students he inspired. He will be deeply missed, but his impact will never fade.

I remember going to see the shuttle launch my freshman year. We had so much fun. I remember marching and our rifle routines. 

Thank you, Chief Cohen, for making a profound difference in my life. Rest in peace.

Hey Papa,

I hope you and grandma are having fun! I miss you both so much, it hurts. I miss coming home from work and getting to tell you all about my day. You were always the best listener and gave the best advice. I miss watching you and Mateo bond. I love you so much my papa and grandma. I hope you guys are proud of me and all that has been overcome throughout the years. You guys always motivated me to do better, always be strong and independent. The greatest gift you ever gave me was the opportunity to have a better life and believed in. 

Please continue to watch over us my beloved guardian angels. I can’t wait for the day we get to reunite and hear you both laugh and hold you both so tight.

Chief cohens , I thank you for everything you did I remember a couple of times that I needed a shoulder to cry on bc of family issues and u were always there. YOU ARE GOING TO BE HIGHLY MISSED..
