Bob was extremely patriotic and very proud of his 29 years of service in the Army. He was especially proud of leading the service songs at the Town of Cortlandt Memorial Day and Veterans Day services.
He and his wife Dorothy enjoyed nature, their beloved dogs, and were also very interested in birding. They were regular contributors of their observations to the Hudson River Almanac. Bob had wonderful memories of times at the Jersey Shore spent with his extended family. He had many interests and hobbies, too numerous to list, that he enjoyed over the years. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and caring attitude. Bob always had a smile on his face and was willing to help anyone in need. He loved his favorite store 7-11, and if you know, you know the meaning behind this sentiment.
He is survived by his loving and faithfully devoted wife Dorothy and son Robert Francis (Shannon) Ferguson of Peekskill, and many beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
