Born June 8th, 1947, in Dundee, Scotland, he was the son of John and Gladys (Mogridge) Waters.
Paul is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Julie; by his daughters; Morgan (Nagy Arafa), Sarah (Rory Higgins), Scholastica (Stephan Rajaratnam); by his sons Ben, Brendan and Lee; by his brothers, Gavin, Colin, Larry and his sister Lynn. Also surviving are his grandchildren Adham and Tymoor Arafa, and Rory Atticus Higgins as well as many nephews and nieces.
Paul was a practicing journalist for more than forty years.
He was a devout Catholic and a member of Opus Dei. He was a volunteer at several community organizations, including The Special Olympics.
Visitation at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White funeral home on Saturday, October 18th from 2pm-5pm and from 7pm-9pm.
Funeral mass will be held at Saint Ignatius Church in NDG in Montreal on Monday, October 20th at 11am. Condolences at church from 10am-11am.
Memorial donations may be made in Paul's honour to Canadian Cancer Society and to The Special Olympics.
