Willie Clyde Lowe

LOWE, Willie Clyde, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 19, 2016. For 68 years, she was a member of Evangel Church where she was Sunday School Secretary for over 50 years. She grew up in Butler County, Alabama, and came to Montgomery after her marriage to Bonnie Lee Lowe in 1946. After her children were born, she worked for the State of Alabama for over 30 years before retiring. She then worked for H&R Block for 10 years. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents, James William and Katie Johnson Spann, and her 6 siblings. She is survived by her three children, Bonita Carol Lowe, Barbara Kay Smith, and Terryl Royce Lowe; her grandson, Jason Lee Smith (Brie); and her two great-grandchildren, Ainsley Grace Smith, and Colby Jackson Smith. Her Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016, at 10 AM at Evangel Church (3975 Vaughn Road), followed by A Celebration of Her Life at 11 AM, with Pastor Michael Rippy officiating, and burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
