William Eugene Freed

Bill was born in Connellsville, PA in 1931. Bill graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette in 1953 with a mechanical engineering degree and received an MBA from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. After serving two years in the Army, Bill worked at Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana from 1955 to 1979. He relocated to the Chicago area and worked for Case/International Harvester. After retirement from the corporate life, Bill and his wife, Diane, founded TwinHawk Tractor & Equipment in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Diane Wensing Freed and his son, Gavin Freed. He is survived by his children Lise (Mike) Maddox, Derek (Michelle) Freed, Deidre (Glenn) Eldridge, Kieran Freed, daughter-in-law, Marisue Freed, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in West Lafayette, Indiana for family and friends.
