Tommie Ray Pruitt, 80, of Montgomery passed away Thursday, January 30. He served 27 years in the US Air Force, retiring as chief master sergeant. He was a member of the University Church of Christ and was one of the original members of the Friday men’s Bible study, which has continued for more than 22 years. He was a longtime pharmacy volunteer at Maxwell Air Force Base, where he received two Air Force Volunteer Excellence Awards for his service. He was our beloved husband, father and granddad, and a wonderful friend and encourager to many. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Eleanor Pruitt, sons Eric (Lori) and Craig; granddaughter Josey, and grandsons Samuel (Amanda) and Adam. A memorial service will be held at University Church of Christ at 1pm (visitation) and service at 2pm.
