T. Frank Wells, Jr. of Montgomery, AL, passed away into the arms of his Lord and Savior on November 15, 2020. He was born on June 19, 1931 to Thomas Franklin Wells, Sr. and Mildred Elizabeth Dodson Wells in Columbus, MS. Mr. Wells is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Byrd Wells of Montgomery, AL; his sister, Yvonne Wells Key of Columbus, MS; his son, Thomas F. Wells III (Angela) of Dothan, AL; his daughter, Elizabeth Wells Fritz of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren Michael Aaron Fritz, Jr., William Wells Fritz, Anna Kate Wells and Frank Wells, IV.
Frank served Baptist Health for over 30 years as the Executive Vice-President. He exemplified all that Baptist Health has come to represent, including glorifying Jesus Christ in his daily work, operating with a passion for quality care, being a good steward of the monies entrusted to the organization, and treating his co-workers with dignity and respect. He spent many hours laboring over what he loved but always found time to be there for his family. He was a member of First Baptist Church. For over 40 years, he loved spending time with his friends playing bridge, traveling to the beach with his buddies, and eating out with his supper club friends.
Frank was a wonderful husband, father, business man, and a Christian role model for many. His absence will leave a void that cannot be filled here on earth, but we will all look forward to the day when we will see him again in Heaven. There will be a private family burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the missions ministry of First Baptist Church.
