Thomas Aubrey Ray passed away on August 6, 2021 at the age of 92 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.
He lived a long life, he was a very good father. He would tell us as boy he would pick cotton and help his sister on her farm.
After finishing high school, he joined the Air Force trained as an airplane mechanic where he was stationed in Japan.
He returned home and went to work with civil service as an airplane mechanic at Maxwell Air Force Base.
He resigned civil service to become owner and operator of a Dairy Queen for several years in Montgomery then he opened one up in Tallasee which he operated until he retired.
During this time he lived at the lake which he loved. He liked fishing with his next door neighbor and grandsons. He was a big Alabama fan. He later moved to Deatsville, AL where he lived until his death.
He has one surviving sibling out of ten children, Wilma J. Owens. He has two daughters Janet Ray and Debbie Messer, four grandsons, thirteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
He was truly loved by his family.
