Thomas Eugene Brooks Jr.

Thomas Eugene Brooks Jr. "Ricky" was born on November 10th, 1946 in Montgomery, Alabama. He went home to be with his Lord and family on March 16th, 2020. He is survived by his wife Cynthia G. Brooks; daughters Marcy Colombini (Jon) and Faye Lantz; and grandchildren.

Ricky graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1965 and then went on to get a degree from Troy State University in 1969. He proudly served his country in the Air Force from 1969-1973. After leaving the Air Force he went on to get his Master's Degree in Education and began teaching in 1974. He retired from teaching in 2003 from Miami-Dade County School System and moved back home to Alabama. Shortly after moving home he and his wife Cindy joined the Hope Hull United Methodist Church where they lived.

He spent his retired years playing golf with several groups in Montgomery, taking care of family, and spending time with friends. Family was the most important thing to him and he took care of all of us. He surrounded himself with people and he was loved by all that knew him. He will never be forgotten.

Due to the corona virus there will be no visitation or service. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. The family would like to thank all of our loved ones, friends, and Hope Hull United Church for all the thoughtfulness and prayers. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hope Hull United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 325, Hope Hull, AL 36043.
