Sylvia Jean Melton, 73, a resident of Montgomery, AL passed away in a local hospital early Wednesday morning April 12, 2023. Sylvia was born in Tallassee, Alabama on August 30, 1949. She was the daughter of Joel P Edwards, Jr and MaeNella Gunn Edwards. She is survived by her husband of 33 years Gene Melton, children Ashley (Scott) Arnold, Jennifer (Travis) Pannell, Lindsey (Donnie) Spears and Clint (Annelie) Melton, grandchildren Brandon and Bailey Arnold, Ashtyn and Tyler Pannell, Conor Spears and Alex and Adam Melton. She is also survived by her sister Fran (Terry) Bonnett.
