Sara Futch Woodruff

Sara "Sally" Futch Woodruff, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019. She was at Kirkwood By the River, a caring and loving community where she lived for six years. Sally was born on July 2, 1933, to Thurston DuPuis and Elizabeth Birch Futch, as the youngest of four children.

She was married to the love of her life, James Douglas Woodruff, for 29 years. Sally was loved by everyone that knew her, she could make anyone smile and never met a stranger. She is survived by her children, James “Doug” Douglas Woodruff, Jr. (Becky) and Kathryn “Sister” Woodruff Lowrey (Sam); five grandchildren, Caroline Woodruff Stone, Webber Woodruff Lyerly, Ginger Anne Woodruff O’Ferrell, James Douglas Woodruff, III and Sara Douglas Lowrey; and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 10:30am with a Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Harbour or Trinity Presbyterian Church.
