Roy Browder

Memorial services for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Visitation at 1:00 PM with the Service at 2:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, Montgomery, Alabama with Dr. Teman Knight of Heritage Baptist Church officiating. A private internment will be scheduled at a later date at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.

He is survived by his son Roy R. "Rick" Jr. (Eveline) of Hoover, Alabama; daughter-in-law Raycene Browder of Montgomery, AL, grandsons Keith (Holly) Browder of Hoover, Alabama; Adam (Beebe) Browder of Gallatin, Tennessee; granddaughters Angela (Nick) Ing of Peachtree City, Georgia; Brittany (Tripp) Ferrell of Daphne, Alabama; great-granddaughters Laney and Jessica Browder; Ashlyn, Emily and Kylee Ing; great-grandsons GW and Browder Ferrell; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret J. "Marge" Bravdica Kern Browder; son Gary Wayne Browder; father, Osborne Bee Browder and mother, Ora Maud Powell Browder of Rutledge, Alabama, siblings Joe Browder, Sally Broadway and Annie Lee McKinney.

The family would like to thank the staff of UAB Medical West, Bessemer, Alabama and the Robert L. Howard VA Home in Pell City, Alabama for their care and support of Roy.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to Montgomery Dixie Lions Club, (P.O. Box 694, Montgomery, Al 36101); Heritage Baptist Church, (1849 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36106) or a charity of choice.
