Richard Arthur Rickson, age 80, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022. He was a devout member of Our Lady Queen of Mercy in Montgomery, AL and a memorial service will be held at the church Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 10:00 am. Burial will be held at a later date. Mr. Rickson was born in Minneapolis, MN and was raised in Amery, WI. He then joined the US Army living in Wichita Falls, TX and Paris, TX before moving to Montgomery, AL. He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar Arthur and Iris Thomas Rickson, his sister Joyce Rickson Smith and a brother Thomas Oscar Rickson. He is survived by a daughter Sheila Rickson of Dennison, TX, a brother Dale Rickson and his wife Lynn of Wichita Falls, TX, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to Our Lady Queen of Mercy Catholic Church, 4421 Narrow Lane Rd., Montgomery, AL 36116.
