Randy Evans

Randall (Randy) Guy Evans, age 68, died unexpectedly on November 14, 2024, and went to be with the Lord in his heavenly home. Randy was born on November 7, 1956, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late Samuel Guy Evans and Frances Leona (Duffell) Evans.

Randy worked as a professional painter throughout his career; and was known for his outstanding skills in the private sector; as well working and retiring from the City of Montgomery as a Paint Foreman. He was born to play guitar, and inherited the talent naturally from the Duffell side of the family; growing up around music with his mother, grandfather (“Pa Duffell”), uncles, aunts, and cousins; and playing in bands locally, in the early days with his best friends growing up! Randy was also a “Chef” with his cooking skills to all that knew him; and was best known for his “Cornbread Dressing” at Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Randy was always known for his smile and laughter all the time; his easy-going laid-back manner; and his patience and love for people. All of the children in his life were captivated by his attention, patience, and playfulness; giving them laughter and being the most favorite “Uncle Randy” in the world who they dearly loved!

Randy is survived by his two children, Daniel Evans and Rachel Evans, and granddaughter Raegan Elizabeth Harrell; his sister Anita Clark (Johnny); brothers Mark Evans (Tammy) and Eric Evans; nephews Landon Evans; Jon-Ross Evans; Ashton Evans; Taylor Evans Shores; and nieces Kelsey Evans; Kelly Tucker Norman (Kyle); Melanie Shores Cunningham (Drew) and great nieces Caroline and Callie Cunningham; Raelynn Evans; and great niece Finley Evans, and great nephew Rhett Evans McCullers, and many other special cousins and friends who were very dear to him.

Pallbearers will be: Taylor Shores, Kyle Norman, Drew Cunningham, Ashton Evans, Jon-Ross Evans, and Curtis Davis.

A friends and family visitation for Randy will be held Monday, November 18th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at Ramer Cemetery in Ramer, Alabama.
