Mr. Phillip V. Trussell passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the age of 78. He served the government of the United States for 30 years as a principal examiner at the National Credit Union Administration. He was a deacon at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. A celebration of life and burial service will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 2 pm at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Blair officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until 2 pm prior to the service.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Joyce M. Trussell; children, Laura (Brent) Dickey and Phillip Joseph (Misty) Trussell; grandchildren, Anna Dickey and Andrew Dickey. He was preceded in death by his parents Phillip Max Trussell and Adelle Griffin Trussell; his in-laws, Joseph R. Mullican and Ruth Mann Mullican, and brother Thomas Michael Trussell. Pall bearers will be Grover Cornett, Brent Dickey, Herbert Golden, Dr. Mickey Golden, Bob Uland, and Philip Uland.
