Milton served in the United States Navy for 30 years, retiring as a Commander. Milton was a highly respected principled lobbyist on the state and national level for over 53 years. Milton enjoyed all outdoor activities from hiking the Appalachian Trail to duck hunting in Louisiana, to teaching his grandkids to fish and his passion of gardening. He was hyper-focused on maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle, especially running. True to his alma mater, Milton was a die-hard Auburn fan, always cheering on his tigers towards victory...WDE!
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Kathleen West Parsons; children, Kirk Parsons (Lauren) and Misty Fetner (Grant); grandchildren, Sam Parsons, Will Parsons, Charlie Parsons, Carolina Moore, Cadyn Moore, Kennady Fetner, Kambell Fetner, and Kannon Fetner; and sister, Joyce Burnette.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Callie Mae Bozeman; brother, Joe Parsons; sister, Ramona Johnson; and sister, Kathleen Bailey.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to the Navy Marine Crops Relief Fund in memory of Milton Parsons.
A Celebration of Life Committal Service for Milton will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Cemetery, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36117.
