Mary Elizabeth Essary

Essary, Mary Elizabeth Lindsey, 90, a resident of Andalusia, formerly of Montgomery, AL., went to be with her Lord on November 8, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on November 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home with a public visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be held immediately after the service at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Mike Northcutt will be officiating. Mrs. Essary loved her church and teaching Sunday School and GA's, witnessing and telling others about Jesus and leading Bible studies at Tutwiler Prison. She was a doll collector and organized the Montgomery Doll Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, W.T. Essary, her mother and father, Dave and Faxie Lindsey, her son, Jerry Essary and brothers, Willis, Herman and Fermon Lindsey. She is survived by her son, Steve (Barbara) Essary, daughter-in-law, Jean Essary, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Mildred and Margaret Lindsey, and a special cat, Friskie. During her last years, she was cared for by Dianne Blocker, Margaret Lindsey, Alberta Hooks and Julia Davis. Arrangements are under the direction of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, Montgomery, AL.
