Mary Alice Parker

Mary Alice Parker, age 101, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021. Mary Alice was born May 20, 1920 to Carrie Bruner Luckie and Samuel Walker Luckie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edison "Ford" Parker Sr.; her parents and her siblings: Samuel Walker (Bernice) Luckie, George Truitt (Edna) Luckie, John Patterson (Nell) Luckie and Kathryn (Glenn) Wingard and her grandson Edison Ford Parker III.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her children Marilyn P. Burleson and Edison Ford Parker Jr.; grandchildren Brian Parker Blair, Daniel Davis (Shannon) Parker and Matthew Benton (Natalie) Blair and 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind 15 nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

Mary Alice will be remembered as a faithful member of Morningview Baptist Church who was active in her Sunday School class and the choir. She lived to love and care for her family from her husband and children to her siblings and nephews and nieces. She kept an immaculate house always clean and ready for guests.

A visitation for Mrs. Parker will be held Friday, June 18, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Services will conclude with a burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
