Mary Ann Goolsby Alexander was born on May 26, 1929 in Elmore County, Alabama and passed March 20, 2024. She was born to Clarence Tolbert and Mary Agnes Cowart Goolsby and the oldest of three children.
Mrs. Alexander was predeceased by husband Grover Cleveland Alexander, daughter Rebecca Anne Calhoun Samsal (Rick), brother Thomas Cowart Goolsby (Melinda) of Panama City, FL and sister-in-law Prue Goolsby of Columbia, South Carolina.
Mary Ann is survived by son Thomas Duane Calhoun (Debra) and brother Judge C. Tolbert Goolsby, Jr of Columbia, South Carolina; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Mary Ann was a member of the Eastmont Baptist Church of Montgomery and attended the Wayne Meadows Sunday School Class.
A memorial service will be held April 5, 2024 at 11:00 at Eastmont Baptist Church, Montgomery, AL.
A celebration of life memorial service for Mary will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Eastmont Baptist Church, 4505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
