Mark Johnston

Johnston, (Msgt, Ret.) Mark Irving, of Wetumpka, died on Saturday, July 16, 2011 with his family by his side. Born at Tyndall AFB, FL on July 28, 1960 to Renford and Rennie Johnston. He retired from the Air Force in 2001 and worked at Gunter AFB at the time of his death. Mark is survived by his parents, Renford and Rennie Johnston; wife, Debra Johnston; a son, Eric (Meagan) Johnston; a daughter, Hillary Johnston; one brother, Matthew G. Johnston; a sister, Ashley (Michael) McCormick; three grandchildren, Kylie Jackson, Abby Grace and Gage Johnston.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:00 at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. Val Obregon and Minister Doug Smith officitaing. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Leak Memory Chapel on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Serving as Pallbearers will be, Michael Johnston, Mitchell Johnston, Bubba Johnston, Daniel Shirley, Rusty Spires and Brandon Hand. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew McCormick and Kyle Johnston. Donations can be made to Agape, P.O. Box 230472, Montg., Al or The American Heart Association.
