After graduating from high school, Linda joined the Navy and attained the rank of 3rd Class Electronics Technician. She met her future husband and subsequently left the Navy to be married to Jerry Wayne Moreland for 51 years. Linda and Jerry had 3 children: Eric Wayne Moreland, Robert Thomas Moreland (deceased), and Diana Moreland Goude. Once she graduated, she was proud to work at Jackson Hospital for about 10 years as a pediatric nurse.
Linda also was very proud to be a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was quite proud to join the voluntary and charitable efforts of the DAR.
