Katherine "Nicky" Nicole Paulletta Thomas

Katherine Nicole Paulletta Thomas “Nicky”, the daughter of Paulletta and Joe (Linda) Thomas, was born on September 13, 1981 in Chattanooga, TN. She made her heavenly transition on April 22, 2017. Nicky was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mable Carson; grandfathers Arnold Young and Oliver Carson; uncles, John Young and Henry Hurston; and nephew C’Dario Burns.

Nicky accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at an early age at West Beltway Baptist Church, Houston, Texas. She was a member of Evangel Church of Montgomery where she faithfully worked with the Food Ministry, making monthly appointments to distribute food to families in need. Nicky attended Auburn University at Montgomery where she majored in Psychology. She was employed with the State of Alabama Department of Revenue- Computer Security as an Administrative Support Assistant.

Nicky was a carefree spirit, who was known for being outspoken and straight forward [period, point, blank :) ]. She was a true friend and lovable character to anyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She would always let you know if you were on her bad side; but at the end of the day she would always be there for you in your time of need. Nicky gave joy, and sometimes grief, to everyone she encountered. She was a die-hard Auburn fan who made sure you knew; she was always ready with “War Eagle!” She loved her dog Bella Dolce, and spending time with family laughing and joking. Nicky was a heck of a crafter, who spent much of her time making origami boxes, paper flowers, bracelets, drawing/painting, and much more.

Nicky leaves to cherish her memories: her loving parents Mother- Paulletta Thomas and Father- Joe (Linda) Thomas, Second Mother- Diana Jones; Grandmother- Delia Young; Siblings- Christina Lynette: Carissa & Tei’Jon; Arnold “Jay”: Dustin, Angelique, DeAndre, Darriane, Jayden, & Jaxon; Mitchell (Shatavia): Treyvaughn, Nadira, Kionee, Bishop, Alexis, Naima, Camryn, & Camille; Thomas (Keesha): Temple, Silas, Felicity, Etta, & Auralia “Winks”; Karen (Chaundrick): Shalanda, Tiffany, Jalinda, Whitney, Aviyon, & Isabella; LaShoun: Deven; Channel: DaeChannel & Gabriel; Serenity: Rion; Veronica: Vanessa, Brian, & Naliah; John, Justin, and John “Too Short;” a special sister/best friend: Monica Palm- Ekanem; Godson- Noah Ekanem; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
