Karen Cannon Ward

Karen Cannon Ward, age 62, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband of about 40 years, James Robert Ward; her parents, Charlie and Bernice Albrechet; and her sisters, Donna Lynn Turner and Evelyn Jordon.

Karen is survived by her children, Jennifer Ward (Jeremy) Lammon and Charles Robert (Brittney) Ward; her granddaughters, Kaelee Lynn Lammon, Dani Ward, and McKenzie Ward; her sisters, Bunny (John) Paruolo, Debbie (Ronnie) Pate, Frances Barker (Tim) Harris, Patty Brewster, Andrea West and Diane Alire; her brothers, Richard (Philip) Smith, Jimmy (Deana) Smith and Ron (Tammy) Mason; her mother-in-law Jeffie Ward, as well as many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

Karen will be remembered as a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, gardening and sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds. She was partial to her teacup yorkie, Daisy, but her real affection was saved for her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Karen will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama 36117. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM at Alabama Heritage Cemetery officiated by Rev. Elizabeth Whatley. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Susan Lyles for her compassionate care and friendship.
