Jo Ann Jones Russell

She lived her childhood in the early and flourishing days of the Oak Park neighborhood in Montgomery Al.

attended Forest Ave Elementary and Graduated Sidney Lanier H..S.. Her working career was with the U.S. Government

serving both the National Forestry Service and later retiring from Human Resources at Maxwell A.F.Base (Civil Service)

JoAnn had benefited from a long healthy, enriched life and lived out her remaining 2 years at Eastdale Estates retirement community where she passed in her sleep Thursday night (10/21/21)

She had lived long enough and well enough to understand the wisdom of her own moms words "The good Lord knew what he was doing when he created us to live to only be 80 to100 yrs old ...... Because the world has changed so much we don't even recognize it anymore and are ready to go "

While at Eastdale Estates her life was greatly enhanced with Casandra Barnes and Tracy Wilson being at her call both for needs and Loving Care .

JoAnn is survived by 2 Children Thomas Russell and Lynn Varner (Philip) 2 Grandchildren - Tavis Varner (Jennifer) and Ashley Russell 3 Great Grandchildren Levi Varner, Olivia Varner and Holden Varner

Her body's final resting place will be Greenwood cemetery in Montgomery. in lieu of services the family and JoAnn ask that you round up a loved one and Go have your favorite Lunch ... Its All Good .
