She was a longtime member of Frazer Methodist Church and taught 4-year-old preschool at Frazer Kindergarten for 8 years.
Jen had many dear friends. She still got together monthly with her “Lee girls” group, her retired Frazer Kindergarten teacher group for weekly Lunch Bunch and her Somerset Mexican Train girls. She was truly loved by all who knew her.
Jen was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Bowen Simmons and Howard Hall Simmons. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bill Granberry, her 3 daughters Ginger (Chris) Echols of Suwanee, GA; Wendy (Kevin) McCollum of Montgomery, AL; and Jill Gregory of Wetumpka, AL. She is also survived by her sister, Kay (Rush) Meriwether and niece, Sarah (Reynolds) Meriwether Cook and their son, Marshall.
Throughout her life Jen had many beloved pets but one of her most precious was her lap dog, Annie. It was love at first sight between those two when she adopted Annie from Angels Among Us Animal Rescue in 2015.
