Jane T. Watson

Jane T. Watson, age 90, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Jane was born May 16, 1932 to the parents Clarence Trousdale and Mae Dene Goree Trousdale. A life long resident of the Montgomery area and graduate of Sidney Lanier High School. She was a very loving person who enjoyed hosting and entertaining for others which she expressed through her Bed and Breakfast and restaurant ventures. She often enjoyed spending time on Lake Jordan, spending time with the Dixie Landers Motor Home Club and giving back to her community as a Girl Scout Leader. Jane was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Trousdale and Mae Dene Goree Trousdale; her first husband, Joseph Turner Porter, Jr and her late husband Lt. Col James R. Watson. Jane's loving memories will be cherished by her sons Joseph Porter III, Reginald G. Porter; sister Patricia Campbell; her step-children; loving step-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

A family and friends visitation for Jane will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 1:00 PM at White Chapel - Greenwood. A celebration of life chapel service will occur Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM at White Chapel- Greenwood with a Graveside service immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to Montgomery Humane Society.
