Carl is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Marjorie Brigance Deason; his daughters, Darla Howorth and her husband Bobby of Montgomery, AL, and Andrea Tyus and her husband Keith of Peachtree City, GA; loving granddaughters, Taylor Tyus of Peachtree City, GA, Morgan Fisher and her husband Billy of Auburn, AL, Rachel and Julie Howorth of Montgomery, AL; and his sister Norma Willis and her husband James of Billingsley, AL.
Carl was born and raised in Billingsley, AL, the son of Estes and Jewel Deason. He graduated from Billingsley High School and attended Howard College where he played baseball. He was a former member of Billingsley Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was part owner of Frasier-Deason Construction in Selma, Alabama.
After retiring, Carl and Marjorie moved to Pike Road, AL where Carl enjoyed sitting on his back porch watching his cardinal, martins, hummingbirds, and the occasional deer in his yard.
Carl and Marjorie became members of Lakeview Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 19th from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Lakeview Baptist Church with service following at 2:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
The family would like to thank his dedicated caregivers, Sonya Psalmarde and Catherine Smoke for the love and care they have given him. A special thank you to Wallace and Mary at Kindred Hospice.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Lakeview Baptist Church in honor of Mr. Deason.
