Henry Daniel Mims

Henry Daniel “Danny” Mims was a loving father, brother, grandfather, Great Grandfather, and friend. On October 17th 2022 at the age of 69 after unexpected health complications Danny passed away peacefully surrounded by love ones.

Danny was born to Donald and Patricia Mims on November 30th 1952 in Montgomery Alabama. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served for 21 years. After his retirement from the Air Force, Danny, never one to sit around, then joined the team at Mobis and enjoyed going to work each day dark and early, retiring for a second time in May 2021.

Danny was always talented with his hands. A skilled craftsman in various disciplines Danny loved working on cars, remodeling spaces, and always willing to lend a hand to those that needed it.

Danny was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He is survived by his sisters, Melanie and Cathy. His brother Charlie, His 3 children, Donald, Joshua, and Amy. His daughter in law Marlenia, His son in law James, His grandchildren, Jordan, Pyper, Kaylee, Zoe, and Collin, and his great grandson Lyncoln as well as numerus nieces, nephews, and many more loved ones.

Danny is preceded in death by his Father, Mother, Brother Donnie, and his daughter Dannielle.

A family and friends visitation for Henry will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at White Chapel- Greenwood. A a celebration of life graveside will occur Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery.
