Gwen L. Jones, age 76 passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. She was born to the late J.V. Lamar, Sr. and Mae Ollie Lamar Norsworthy in Montgomery, AL on September 27, 1940. Mrs. Jones was a member of Chipley Church of Christ in Chipley, FL where she resided. Gwen is preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Jones; her son, Dennis Heaton; grandson, Michael Allen; and her parents. She is survived by her brother, J.V. Lamar (Sandy); her sister, Sharon Wittle (Jim); her children, Glenn Heaton, Sheila Allen (David), Toni Tidwell (Jeff), and Terry Heaton, Sr., Deborah McDonald (Barry), Sheila Griffin (Drew), and Randell Jones (Teresa); twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren with one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in memory of Mrs. Gwen to The Arc of Alabama in Wetumpka, Alabama.
