Gary Gurnade Barron

Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Barron, and his parents, Grover C Barron and Debbie Falknor-Barron.

He is survived by his sister, Dawn Brown; his niece, Emily Brown; his three beloved step-children, Mason (Caitlin) Aldridge, Matt (Jessie) Aldridge, and Marlee Aldridge; and his much-loved step-grandchild, Campbell Jane Aldridge.

Gary was employed as the Deputy Director of Montgomery City / County EMA and in an administrative role for the Alabama Department of Public Health. He was an amazing husband, fantastic dad, wonderful son, protective big brother, loving uncle, a loyal friend, and father figure to many others. Gary was a lover of music, especially 80’s, sports, his dog Chichi, and video games. He was a food guru, and a faithful man of God. He will be truly missed, but his determined and loving spirit will live on in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, his family suggests that donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Alabama Kidney Foundation.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on January 6, 2023 at Vaughn Forest Church in Montgomery, Alabama, and the funeral service is immediately following at 11:30 am.
