Frank Lewis Roton, 87, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015, at Baptist Medical Center South, in Montgomery, AL. He was born on January 3rd,1928 in Montgomery, AL to Austin Banks Roton and Lucy Radford Roton, affectionately called “Mama Roton”.
Frank grew up in Montgomery, AL. He graduated from St. Mary's Of Loretto
School in Montgomery, AL in 1947. He joined the US Navy in 1945 and
served in WWII, thereafter being honorably discharged.
After the war he returned to high school, graduated then began work for the
Montgomery Advertiser until he started a business, Alabama Printers with
Billy Watkins in 1964. He successfully operated his company until semiretirement in 2002.
Frank married Betty Jean Beck in 1973. They were happily married for
42 years. Frank was a dedicated member of Hope Hull United Methodist
Church. He loved his Masonic Lodge and the Appendant Bodies were his
joy and pleasure. He found many lifetime friends from this benevolent
pursuit of service. He enjoyed his work with the Snowdoun Volunteer Fire
Department.
Frank was preceded in death by his loving parents and his close siblings, Sidney (Betty) Roton, Ben (Winnie) Roton, Mike (Gladys) Roton, William Pete (Ouida) Roton, Evelyn (McCoy) Roton Bynum, Herbert
“Bummie” (Cordelia) Roton and Hilda (Richard) Roton Smith.
Frank is survived by his wife, Betty of Snowdoun, AL; his sons, Austin
Roton and fiancé, Lisa, and her daughter; Guerry (Martha Mote) Roton and loving daughter Deborah (John) Roton Kim, of Daphne, AL; his brother Ralph Ray Roton of Midfield, AL; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will be greeting friends and relatives at his Visitation at Leak-Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL, on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, from 9-11 AM, followed by his Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Alabama Masonic Graveside Service at 11:30 AM in Oakwood Cemetery Annex,1304 Upper Wetumpka Rd, Montgomery, AL.

far and precious neighbors for their prayers and support.
