Flora Milton

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Frazier Milton, her parents Horace and Lizzie Pettus, daughter-in-law Betsy Zimmerman Milton and nine brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Travis Milton, daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Martin Glover, grandchildren Amee Milton Nelson (Dallas), Bradley Glover (Monica), Forrest Glover, Rebecca Glover Scott (Richard), Lora Lee Milton Braswell (Ken), Angie Milton McMullan (Mike) and Grant Cornell (Courtney) and great grandchildren Carlie Nelson, Alex Nelson, Gracen Glover, Olivia Glover, Adelin Glover, Martin Glover, David Glover, Leighton Scott, Elliott Scott, Wyn Scott, Kaiden Harris and Gabriel Cornell, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was also survived by special great niece (like a granddaughter) Beth Moore (Robbie) and their sons Jack Moore and Bo Moore

"Her children arise and call her blessed", Proverbs 31:28.

After her retirement from the Industrial Relations department of the State of Alabama she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and being an active member of her church.

She was a dedicated believer in Jesus Christ and a long time member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church. She was known for her beautiful smile and referred to by many as a Steel Magnolia. She was a women of integrity, Proverbs 31:26, "she speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue."

The family would like to thank Joyce Robinson, Kimberly McBride and Tiffany Stovall of John Knox Assisted Living, Crowne Rehab, especially her great niece Seana Wade, and the nurses and staffs of Crowne Healthcare and Hospice of Montgomery as well as sitters Monica Rogers and Earnestine Cooper.

A family and friends visitation for Flora will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3604 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a a celebration of life service at 2:00 PM. Services will conclude with a burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
