Evelyn Ruth Henry

Evelyn Ruth Henry was born in Millerville, Alabama and lived most of her life in Montgomery. She retired in 1995 from her job of 33 years as a Management Support Assistant with the State of Alabama, Department of Mental Health. Mrs. Henry graduated from Ashland High School in 1946 before attending Business School and Auburn University at Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Janie Wheeles and her granddaughter, Charlyn Henry. She is survived by her husband, William E. Henry; her children, Thad Henry(Debbie) and Leah Randall(Carl); her brothers and sisters, Harold Wheeles(Glenda), Ralph Wheeles(Carolyn), Guy Wheeles(Mary Ann), Gertrude Gaither(Pete), Wilma Washington(Elwin), and Anita Upchurch(Johnny); and her grandchildren Stephanie Barton(Michael), Clay Randall(Christy), Chris Henry, and Wes Henry. Friends and family are invited to White Chapel Funeral Home for a visitation Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 8 pm. Dr. Shawn Merithew, Pastor of Morningview Baptist Church, will be conducting the Funeral Services, Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm at White Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. A friends and family dinner will be held at the Morningview Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, Noon Saturday. Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
