Elizabeth Luckett Martin

Martin, Elizabeth Luckett, age 78, of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away suddenly January14, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband, Larry L. Martin and children Cynthia Ann Slocumb and Pamela Elizabeth Branch (Lanier); step children Carol Golsan (Steve), and Greg Johnson (Kathy), Sandy Barrera, David Martin (Rhonda), Thomas Martin (Shannon) and Elizabeth Palmer (David); grand children Amber Marie Langham, Christopher Hartwell Langham, Somer Elizabeth Langham, Perry Wyman Langham, Adam Johnson, Braleigh Elizabeth Martin, Kalynn Marie Martin, Thomas Jackson Martin, Kristen Hurst, Clifford Lanier Branch, Jr.; and seven great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents Perry and Mable Luckett, previous husbands Guy Hartwell Slocumb III and Al Johnson, her son Guy Hartwell Slocumb IV, and her brother Perry Luckett, and sister Jean Vincent.

Liz was an avid car enthusiast. She loved cars regardless of make, model, or year. She was a National Judge for the Antique Automobile Club of America and was the First Lady of the Capitol City Corvette Club. Her winning smile and friendly demeanor was loved by everyone she met. She never met a stranger. She will be sorely missed.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE Service will be held at Leak-Memory Chapel on Monday, January 19, 2015, at 2 o’clock. Visitation will precede the ceremony starting at 1 o’clock. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Andrew Martin, Clifford Lanier Branch, Steven Thomas Golsan, Dennis John Hogan, Jimmie Lawrence Middleton, David Lee Martin, Thomas Jackson Martin and David Taft Palmer.
