Edward Walton Sauls, a resident of Pike Road, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the age of 69. The family will receive friends at Frazer United Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Sanctuary of Frazer United Methodist Church. Burial will immediately follow at Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will include the Principals of Jackson Thornton CPA and the Montgomery Lions Club.
Ed is the son of the late Edward S. and Myrtie W. Sauls. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Phyllis S. Sauls; his daughter, Suzanne Vinson (Craig); his grandchildren, Anna, Adele, and Trey Vinson; his sister, Beverly Greenhill; and many extended relatives.
Ed led Jackson Thornton's Valuation and Litigation consulting group. His dedication to his area of practice was evident by his commitment to continuing education. He was a Certified Valuation Analyst and holds the ABV (Accredited Business Valuation) certification as well as a MAFF (Master Analyst in Financial Forensics) certification. Ed was a past board member and chairman of the National Kidney Foundation. He was a Leadership Montgomery alumnus as well as past president of the Montgomery Lions Club. He was a longtime member of Frazer United Methodist Church. Ed graduated from the University of Alabama. He was also a former member of the Culverhouse School of Accountancy Professional Advisory Board, University of Alabama. He also held professional membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Sauls name to the Montgomery Cancer Center or the Alabama Kidney Foundation.
