Eddie Flowers, 75, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2022. He was predeceased by Father; John Flowers Sr, Mother; Lula Flowers, Brother; John Jr. Flowers, and Sister; Vivian Hawkins. Eddie was the loving husband of Gloria Flowers; devoted father of daughter’s; Cassandra Cunningham and Tonya Jay (Brandon), son, Eddie Flowers II (Celena); beloved granddad of Michael Cunningham, Asha Cunningham, Brandi Jay, Torri Jay, Kianna Flowers, Keion Flowers, and Keyshawn Flowers. Eddie was big brother to Voiselle Flowers (Annie), Patrick Flowers (Charlene), Connie Blair, Sharon Richardson (Marvin), Pamela Brookins (Shedrick), Monica Wilkins (Michael), Terry Flowers (Coleen), Deron Flowers (Shari) and Darnell Flowers (Crystle). Eddie is also survived by a host of great-nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
Eddie was second born to John Flowers Sr. and Lula Flowers. After graduating from High School in Cincinnati, Eddie joined the Air Force in 1966. He served 29 years and retired in 1994 as a Chief Master Sergeant. During his 29 years of service, he served in serval positions as Senior Enlisted Advisor and received numerous awards and honors to include the Top 12 enlisted Airman. After retiring from the Air Force, Eddie worked for the State of Alabama as a counselor, Director of Family Guidance Center and a ROTC instructor. He received his undergraduate in Psychology and Graduate in Business Administration. Eddie volunteered his time to the community through speaking engagements for cancer victims, underserved population, and political representative. Eddie always had time to listen and share advice or a lending hand.
Some of his memorable moments were running a marathon and traveling cross country with Gloria (Glo) and best friends Freddie and Mary Lee. His also loved spending time ---with his kids and grandkids.
