Nelson, Donald A., 85, April 8, 1928- July 5, 2013, went to be with the Lord on Friday July 5, 2013, at William F. Green Veterans Home, Bay Minette, Al. Don was a WWII veteran in the Mule Pack Artillery. He was a member of Eastmont Baptist Church, Montgomery, Al. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Nelson; children, Kim Blake, Ken Blake, Keith Blake, Kristy Wintzell, Debra Cummings, and Brent Nelson; grandchildren, Courtney Wintzell, Colby Blake, Corey Reynolds, Cliff Reynolds, Ashley, Brittney and Drew Armbrester along with numerous relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Eastmont Baptist Church on Monday, July 8th at 1:00pm. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm with Rev. Michael NorthCutt and Rev, Art Long officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Broardway, Harvey Gregg, Fred Lawrence, Jimmy Meacham, Jimmy Wintzell and Anthony Roney. Honorary pallbearers will be the Monday morning "Breakfast Bunch". Memorials may be made to the "disability fund" at Eastmont Baptist Church.
