David Steven Connor

David was preceded in death by his father, William Alex (Billy) Connor.

David is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susie Luster Connor, the love of his life and anchor of his world, daughter Paige Elizabeth Connor and son Steven Alec Connor (Bethany), mother, Lorena Connor, brother, Raymond Connor (Sue), sister, Margaret Connor, brother-in laws, Thomas Luster (Sheila), Brad Luster, several nephews and nieces, and lifelong friends Randy and Carol Henderson.

David was born in Montgomery, Alabama on December 26, 1956 then moved to Millbrook, Alabama where he grew up and began his lifelong love of sports. Whether it was football, baseball, basketball or

any other sport, he was a gifted athlete and on a playing field year round. David also enjoyed hunting and fishing, anything outdoors including grilling for family and friends and Alabama football.

David graduated from Stanhope Elmore High School in 1975, and was employed with the State of Alabama as a Building Maintenance Supervisor, retiring in 2019, after 38 years of service.

David, husband, father, son, brother, and friend placed his family first always and was firm in his beliefs. His unconditional love and friendship over the years is valued beyond words and can never be replaced in our hearts, we thank him and are blessed by the time we were together.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at 11:00am at First Christian Church, 727 N. Memorial Dr., Prattville, Alabama with Pastor James Burgess officiating. Family has requested casual attire, wearing your favorite sports team’s logo and jeans.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond Connor, Thomas Luster, Brad Luster, Randy Henderson, Wayne Mitchell, and Terry Flowers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
