Dana Marie Driscoll, 57, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed from this world in Montgomery on Saturday, October 23, 2021. She was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky to Lawrence E. Driscoll, Jr. and Marilyn Remmers Driscoll. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy High School in Louisville, before moving with her family to Montgomery. She graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. As an undergraduate Dana pledged Delta Zeta sorority and continued to stay involved with the sorority her entire life. She was employed for many years by the State of Alabama Department of Public Health. She enjoyed tennis, swimming, and was very involved with the college scholarship program Distinguished Young Women, both in coaching participants and as a judge at various county and state competitions. She was also involved with various activities at Holy Spirit Catholic parish where she was a parishioner.
She is survived by her parents, Lawrence E. Driscoll, Jr. and Marilyn R. Driscoll; her three siblings Patrick Driscoll of Mobile, AL, Kelly (Jim) Aikin of Alexandria, VA, and Michael (Kimberly) Driscoll of Roswell, GA; her nephews and niece, Michael, Emma and Luke Driscoll, all of Roswell, GA.
A visitation concluding with a Catholic Vigil Rite for the Deceased will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 5pm-7pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A private funeral will be held at a later date. Dana will be buried at St. Margaret’s Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to either The Dominican Monastery of St. Jude (143 County Rd. 20 E.; Marbury, AL 36051) or Eternal Word Television Network [EWTN] (5817 Old Leeds Road, Irondale, AL 35210).
