Carol Sachar Jones

Carol Sachar Jones, 79, was born to Myer Louis Sachar Jr. and Eugenia Howe Bridges Sachar on May 26, 1942 in Montgomery, AL. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1960 and later Troy State University School of Nursing serving within the medical field for almost 50 years. Her mission was to serve others with love and compassion. Carol was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of Pike Road Baptist Church and Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Carol was dedicated to her family and adored her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Myer and Eugenia Sachar. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Daniel “Dan” Jones; her sons Jimmy (Sandy) Jones and Warren (Kelly) Jones; her daughter Genger Jones (Joshua) Gallup; her grandchildren Luke Henry Stabler, Coleman Stabler, Meryn Grace Gallup, Erin (Chad) Bright, Daniel Jones and Hunter Strothers; her great grandchildren Reese Bright, Owen Bright and Carter Bright; her siblings Robert L. (Linda) Sachar and Rubyanne S. (Hoyt) Henley; and her special aunt, Anne Adams. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jones, Warren Jones, Robert Sachar, Daniel Jones, Luke Stabler and Coleman Stabler. Honorary pallbearers are Hoyt Henley Jr. and Joshua Gallup.

A visitation is set for Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 9:30 am at Leak Memory Chapel. A graveside celebration of life will follow in Greenwood Cemetery at 11:00 am officiated by Dr. Gary Blair.
