Billy E. Roberts Sr.

Billy E. Roberts, Sr. “Pop”, 73, a resident of Eclectic, AL, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012. Visitation will be on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 at White Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Teel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Roberts never met a stranger and was loved deeply by his family and friends. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, was Magistrate/Constable in Eclectic, AL, served as Chief of Police in Wadley, AL and was State Officer at Greil Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Jean Roberts and his sister, Marianne Brown. Mr. Roberts is survived by his children, Kathryn Coleman (Charles), Billy Roberts, Jr. (Martha), Douglas L. Roberts, Michael Roberts (Tammy), Blake Roberts (Terri); grandchildren, Ashley Reeves, Jodi Langsford, Amber Ruthkowski, Zachary Roberts, Hunter Roberts and Logan Roberts; and great grandchildren, Jordan Colley, Jacob Reeves and Luke Reeves. Pallbearers will be Ashley Reeves, Zachary Roberts, Hunter Roberts, Jeff Rodrique, Chris Hall, Berman Taylor and Jerry Bland.
