Beverly Humphrey Saturley

Beverly Humphrey Saturley, 83, passed away on November 25, 2021. Mrs. Saturley was born on June 18, 1938, in Springfield, Tennessee. She was lovingly married for 64 years to her high school sweetheart, John P. Saturley who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Percy Sherman and Virginia Wise Allison Humphrey, and her sister Susan Owens.

She was the loving and devoted mother of Cindy Amorino of Midlothian, Virginia, Pam (Tom) Gilpin of Mathews, Alabama, and Johnny (Angela) Saturley of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Allison (Miller) Owens, Thomas (Riley) Gilpin, Stephen Amorino, Brent Amorino, Madison Saturley and Mason Saturley. Other survivors include her sister Patricia Mortland of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Beverly had a rewarding career in radio broadcasting and advertising that spanned several decades in radio stations from Kentucky to Alabama. Later in life, she was involved in property management in Decatur and then in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She served as treasurer of two homeowner associations, and was always actively involved in her community. She and John were members of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church. She did volunteer work at the church and was involved in their missionary program.

Beverly never met a stranger. Her bright smile and piercing blue eyes caught your attention, then her warm and kind spirit stole your heart. Her family and friends were an important part of her life. All who loved her will never forget her zest for life, tenacity, charm, grace, generosity, and her undying love and devotion for them. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
